CNC TURNED COMPONENTS

CNC Turning

Our facility is equipped with a large selection of CNC Turning (Lathe) Centers. From simple 2 axis “chucker” lathes, to powerful multi-axis turning centers with flexible 4 axis configurations. Depending on the job and part requirements, they may be loaded individually to help maintain close tolerances and critical finishes or with automatic bar-loaders for cost effect high volume production. Our Wasino G5-UP is configured with a robotic loader for 24-hour “lights out” production.

Advantages of 2 Axis Lathes

2 axis Cnc Lathes or “chucker” lathes are designed for simpler parts that only require turning without any milling or pick off operations. This allows for quicker set ups and are extremely effective for keeping costs down on prototypes and small production runs.

Advantages of Multi-Axis Turning Centers

Multi-Axis CNC Lathes allow turning, milling, cross drilling, back turning, and back milling. They are designed to produce complex parts with critical timed machined features and complete the entire part in one operation. This increases machine run time helping minimize cost-per-part, especially with high volume production requirements.

Accuracy and Capacity

CNC Lathes are extremely accurate holding tolerances of +/-.0002”. They have chucking capacity up to 10” in diameter with bar-feed capacities up to 2 3/4” in diameter. Precision shafts, cylinders, hydraulic poppets, bodies, and flanges are typical components that we produce with CNC Turning.
